At Wells Dental, we are currently welcoming new patients of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and financial situations. We believe that oral health care is essential to overall health and well-being, and that everyone deserves access to quality dental care—regardless of insurance status or financial constraints. Our office is designed to be inclusive, compassionate, and supportive, with a focus on prevention-first, minimally invasive dentistry tailored to each patient’s needs.
We are actively contracting with all major dental insurance plans, including state-supported insurance programs such as AHCCCS, and we are happy to help patients understand their coverage and options. We also recognize that AHCCCS dental benefits for adults are often limited to emergency visits and extractions only. Because we understand how frustrating and restrictive this can be, we have developed affordable membership plans and in-office discounts to help patients receive preventive and restorative care—even when their insurance does not fully cover it.

Dental Emergencies
Urgent Care
Dental emergencies can happen at any time, and when they do, timely care matters. At Wells Dental, we provide urgent and emergency dental evaluations for patients experiencing tooth pain, swelling, infection, trauma, broken teeth, or dental injuries. A dentist from our team is available by phone on call to help guide patients through urgent situations, determine next steps, and arrange prompt care when needed.
We are equipped to diagnose and treat dental infections, manage pain and swelling, and perform urgent procedures, including extractions when necessary to protect a patient’s health. If an infection or dental condition poses a risk to overall health, we act quickly and decisively to stabilize the situation and relieve discomfort.
That said, our primary goal in every emergency visit is to save the tooth whenever possible. We prioritize conservative, evidence-based treatment options and carefully assess whether a tooth can be preserved through restorative or endodontic care before recommending removal. Extractions are performed when they are truly the best option—not simply the fastest one.
Our approach to emergency care is informed by prior training in a hospital trauma setting and experience as a clinical instructor at a dental school, where complex cases, dental injuries, and urgent care decision-making are routine. This background allows us to remain calm, thorough, and patient-centered during high-stress situations while delivering care that is both effective and thoughtful.
