Meet Our Dentist
Dr. Jamal Wells DDS, M.Ed.
I’m Dr. Jamal Wells, a general dentist with a foundation in public health, education, and patient-centered care. Since 2020, I’ve provided comprehensive dentistry to adolescents, adults, and older patients across New York—focusing not just on what procedures are done, but on how care is delivered to reduce fear, rebuild trust, and encourage long-term engagement.
My clinical approach prioritizes minimally invasive, anxiety-conscious treatment. I regularly use nitrous oxide (N₂O) to support patients with high dental anxiety, especially those returning after long treatment gaps or who have experienced trauma. While I perform surgical and restorative procedures, my focus is helping patients avoid sedation-heavy treatment plans and reconnect with care in a sustainable way.
I’m currently relocating to Arizona and pursuing state licensure through Universal Recognition (expected Fall 2025). As co-founder of Wells Minimally Invasive Dentistry, I’m preparing to launch a Tucson-based practice dedicated to Medicaid accessibility, prevention-first treatment, and community health innovation.
My passion for outreach and leadership also includes teaching future dentists as faculty at the University at Buffalo, running summer youth enrichment programs, and participating in international dental missions. I aim to create systems that empower both patients and providers to thrive.
