Welcome to your three-day shadowing experience at Wells Dental.
We are delighted to have you with us and hope this experience provides meaningful insight into the practice of dentistry, patient-centered care, and the day-to-day operations of a modern dental practice.
During your time here, you will observe and participate in a variety of clinical and non-clinical activities designed to give you a well-rounded perspective of the profession. We strive to provide hands-on learning opportunities, thoughtful discussion, and exposure to real-world dentistry that will strengthen your understanding and help you grow as a future dental professional.
Our goal is for you to leave Wells Dental with practical knowledge, confidence, and experiences you can thoughtfully reflect on and highlight in your dental school journey—both personally and professionally.

Day 1
Orientation to Wells Dental.
Completion of a pre-experience evaluation form.
HIPAA and Infection-control review.
Observation of patient care.
Case review and an introduction to dental anomalies.
Day 2
Hands-on exposure to instrument preparation and workflow.
Overview of dental emergencies and office response.
Learning session on rare diseases and conditions.
Assisting with clinical care.
Day 3
Assisting with clinical care.
Completion of post-experience evaluation.
Mock dental school interview and feedback.
Introduction to community outreach and philanthropy.
